This weekend we spent a lot of time at the forest (Newlands Forest) and at the beach, and Graeme was doing some DIY stuff restoring an old cabinet, which I know is going to look beautiful.
A little friend of Noah's had a morning party in the forest for his 4th birthday. It was so nice. We followed the balloons to find where they were set up, and it was like Alice in Wonderland going around corners and through different trails to get there. The boys were so intrigued. There was no fuss, just cake and treats, a pinata and friends. The entertainment was a little river stream that the boys played in which also doubled up as a cooler box. It was such a clever little party and the boys had a great time.
We went back to the forest again later, packed some dinner and had a picnic. The boys always love exploring the trails, finding sticks and interesting things in the woods. Graeme is trying to figure out how to climb to Devil's Peak from the trail, but I'm staying out of that one. I'm not a fan of mountain climbing. The boys are at such a nice age, so eager for adventure and exploring. I love being a part of their little worlds. Now if I can just get them to go to sleep at night. Here's looking at you, kids.
