The day that Noah started his first, proper - full time school. Today.

Today was Noah's first day of school. I can't tell you how excited ALL of us have been. Graeme and I stood in the 'plastic' aisle at the shops for at least half an hour discussing which lunch boxes to get for Nu, because this one is blue, but you can't fit a yoghurt in that one, but this one comes with a juice bottle, but G hated his juice bottle at school, or should we send box juices instead. You don't know.

Wiggle has been walking around with his school bag for about a week or more now. One night he would only eat his dinner out of his new lunch box, from his backpack. He has been very excited. This morning I made a nice little breakfast of boiled eggs and toast. I packed him a big little lunch of biscuits, mangoes, dried fruit, fresh veggies, yoghurt banana bread and half a wholewheat roll with mozzarella and roast beef. So he has a nice snack and a nice lunch. He had his new juice bottle packed, with his peach and apricot juice.

Graeme put sunblock on him this morning and he wore his favorite Pinocchio shirt. We packed his swimming gear as they play in water on hot days. I put his favorite pillow case on his favorite pillow with his favorite bunny receiving blanket for his afternoon nap.

The teachers are lovely, the school is so beautiful. Noah completely disappeared while we were chatting to the other parents. We went outside to hang out with him and he said "It's okay - you must go now" and that little part of me wanted him to rather cry and scream and not want us to go. He is such a strong, confident and bright little boy. I called just now and he was napping with the other kids. The teacher says that he played with the other little boys and girls and that he is a total sweetheart. Happy first day of school Wiggle. Mommy is so proud of you. Always.

PS Ben was really sad this morning and didn't want Noah to go to school. He just lay in bed with his botty and said "I'm sad". The nanny says that he's been busy too - they went to the library and to the park and Ben has a play date with little Silas soon, so he is keeping busy. I did ask Ben if he also wants to go to school and he said no, only later. So there's that x
