Hello. I'm off the boat, and
sitting in an almost deserted coffee shop at uShaka airport in Durban.
For the next three hours. I really need to get better at planning and
life and things. I wanted to show you a few more pictures of our little
trip on board the MSC Opera.
We
did everything. Went to almost all the shows, tanned, ate almost all
the food, interviewed the crew, hung out with the captain, went to the
disco, the deck parties, ordered room service, attacked the mini bar,
watched live music, comedy shows and lazily sipped cappuccinos on our
cabin balcony, overlooking the never ending ocean. We really did every
single thing and loved every single minute of all of it. The dancing,
the cocktails, the people, the crew - everything was incredible. I am
totally addicted and already planning our family trip. I think the best
day was Wednesday - we had a late and lazy breakfast (there is basically
food 24/7) and then tanned and cocktailed all afternoon. We got fresh
burgers and ice cream at the lunch buffet then had a mini nap. Then we
had an amazing dinner, some live music, then the deck party where you
basically just dance and dance and dance and there are shows and
performers and everyone is so festive. Drinks were being sipped from
pineapples and there was a burlesque show. Then we went to the upstairs
disco which was really, really fun. Then wobbled back to our cabin,
sea-legs and all. My feet still hurt from all the fun, I can still hear
the music ringing in my ears, with slight sunburn, a full tummy and a
huge grin on my face. It was amazing.
The
cruise is very, very family friendly and there is stuff going on all
the time. From deck Bingo, to stacks of board games, parties, kids
clubs, kids cooking parties, activity rooms, gyms, spas, casino -
whatever your vibe is, they're doing it. The captain's dinner was great,
there were loads of little parties and photographers everywhere and I
saw quite a few famous peeps on board. Funny, funny stuff. It's all red
carpets, big mirrors, gold plated staircases, fun and luxury without
being too snooty, you know? Please go - you will have SO much fun. Here
