Benjamin - you are such a lucky and well loved little boy. Your birthday party on Saturday was great and so many people came through to celebrate with you. I didn't have enough time to chat and get photos and hang out with everyone as much as I'd have liked to, but thanks that you joined us on this special day!
Loads of love for my mom, Anne (Graeme's mom) and Grays, Mark, Nikki, Nic, Banjoe, Renee, Maz, Silas, Claire, Dylan, Allen & Christy and Zac and Caleb, Maree, Matt and Cathy and little Nathan and gorgeous little Olivia. Thanks to Lester, Angie, Lindi, Toni, Rachel, Brian, Gayle and Gabi and Maureen - it was great to have everyone there and all the little families together. A special thanks to Allen for putting up both Gazebos - you and Christy are always so organized and awesome.
Thanks to the venue - The Blue Train ( The Old Lady) in Mouille Point and the cakes by Vanilla House and the decor by In Good Company. I would highly recommend all of those for your next kids party.
I wish I'd had more time to set up and make pretty, but two kids - the rush and the packing, I'm surprised that we even made it on time (which we almost didn't). The venue is great - you get two tables, extra chairs and two umbrellas standard. You and all the kids can also ride the train for free - all day! Then you can book extras like the cycle track, rock climbing wall, jumping castles or water slides and party packs. It's such a great venue, the kids were on the go the whole afternoon.
Thanks for spoiling the little rabbit something silly. He got splash pools, trucks, diggers, wooden toys, loads of great books (they LOVE "When the world is ready to go to bed" Matt!!!) and cooking sets and bath toys and lolly makers and puzzles and balls and it was really just great.
We got home and the boys thoroughly inspected all their presents, then they cooled down in their new pool. We ate watermelon and talked about the party and read books until bed time. Noah is already excited for his birthday which I assured him is very soon (February) and he was *such* a good big brother at the party. He didn't moan or complain once about Ben's limelight. He was perfect and so protective over his little brother and was like his little assistant all day - supervising the blowing out of candles and opening of presents. It was adorable.
Now it's time to put up the Christmas tree (eventually) and start this fun and planning all over again. Boys, I know that you're grateful for everything that you receive, and I am so proud. I'm glad that I am able to give you nice parties and fun times, and I hope that we can continue the good times as we go along.
Happy birthday again, little Benjamin Nicholas. We love you more than you know - from all of us. Hearts and bunny hops, mommy.
