On Sunday I made a lot of easy foods. We are a family of snackers, and the boys really prefer little platters to cooked meals. For breakfast I made them dippy eggs in their bunny cups with toast, cut fruit and emmenthaler cheese. I painted these bunny cups at Clay Cafe here in Hout Bay and I got those cool tea mugs at a vintage shop in Observatory.
For lunch, I made a nice sandwich platter with home made chicken mayo mix, salami and sausages and then apricot brie (from Fairview), emmenthaler, sprouts, carrots, strawberries, rocket and peppers. I added on salad mix and then served this with ciabatta, pita breads and mayonnaise, mustard and sundried tomato pesto.
The boys love eating like this - well, we all do. Noah made his own little selection of strawberries, cucumber and bread. Eating this way gives me a good indication of their food preferences too. Nu does not like meat, he never has. Benjamin loves cheese and apples. I'm really loving my new camera - I'm really happy with my first little attempt at food photography.
