The one where I talk about BRANDS and SPONSORSHIP on this blog.

Hehe. Notice how I'm doing my headers as "The one where..."? Well. This is because I am currently watching Friends (the series) from start to finish and I am on season five. All their episode titles are like that. "The one where Ross says the wrong name" etc. Remember that episode? Where he gets married and says "I do, Rachel" instead of "I do, Emily?". Man that stuff's funny.

So I want to clarify something here. Brands and Public Relations agencies sometimes send me cool things to review for them. They don't ask me to blog about anything, they ask for feedback. Sometimes I get so excited about certain things that I share it with everyone. I probably blog about fifty percent of the things that I receive. I turn products away, or I give negative reviews straight back to the brand if they ask for my opinion.

I would never be like "Wow I love this tomato sauce brand" in a post if they have sent me a case of it. I always say "Hey look, they sent me all this t-sauce" and I'm transparent about that stuff. Sometimes they sponsor my writing and my blog and then I place a clear badge on the right hand side of my blog to say "This cool person is backing me!" which makes me really happy. Again, I would not let someone back me if I don't dig their vibe. Makes sense? This girl's got integrity and I'm not here to brainwash anyone. I would NOT say that something is cool if it is not cool. I turn offers away all the time. I mean, WHY would I want to review your latest cellphone or tv game? Go away.

I don't do giveaways. I'm not here to run competitions. I'm not here to service a brand or an audience. I'm not a service provider. I'm on my own little mission, talking about my own little adventures. What I do like is that a brand sent me a product to review recently. When I was done, I asked them if I could pretty please pass the product along to charity and they were all like HELL YES (in more business-brand jargon, minus the word hell) and I am SO EXCITED. More on that soon!

I like going to events and doing reviews and pretending that I'm a journalist or something. I like receiving cool things and presents as much as the next person. Who does not like presents? What a sad, un-fun person that does not like presents. I don't know what I'm talking about anymore, but hey, it's EASTER WEEKEND. Look forward to loads of pictures of me covered in chocolate and then more pictures of me suddenly looking on the large size. It can't be helped people.

Happy chocolate-filled weekend and safe travels, and can the drunk people PLEASE stay off the road so I can travel safely with my kiddies on the way home from Spur etc. That is all.
