I live near Lower Main road in Observatory / Woodstock. There's a place on Lower Main called Komati Foods that has been here since I can remember. I've been there a few times this past month to buy little snacky things for the boys. It is the best health shop this side of anywhere. I love it. Usually Noah goes with me (we take a quick walk there together) and helps pick things out, and I mean really, -who does not want their toddler picking out healthy foods in a shop like this? "No Noah, that's just too many dried apple rings! Put those raisins back." Pish.
Yesterday, I got them little bags of almonds, dried strawberries, chocolate raisins, mango strips and dried pears. I also bought a one litre glass jar to keep all the goodies in. The total was about ninety rand for five bags of health snacks and the glass jar. Neat! It will last them about a week I think. See, we mainly snack in our house. Breakfast for them is cereal, then they snack throughout the day. They'll have a cooked dinner in the evening, which they hardly touch as they're used to small meals throughout the day now. I think that their eating habits are great, and they love the snacks from this shop. Nice find in a nice Cape Town, and it's right by our house. And yes, they stock Honest chocolate. They are that awesome. Here are some pictures from yesterday.
