I've been waiting for this moment for years. Noah's old school used to serve all the food and snacks, which was great. At his new school, they serve cooked food all day, but the parents get to pack a snack.
I hated my school lunches when I was little. My mom worked full time and didn't really do the whole lunch thing, but our nanny packed these awful thickly sliced, too-much-butter sandwiches that I hated. Really. Ones wrapped in glad-wrap that you kind-of hid away from the other kids. So I've been putting so much love and effort in to Noah's snacks. Muffins, chomps, cheese slices, yoghurts. This morning I made him a nice avo, rocket and cheese sandwich for his snack too. Man I love this kind of stuff.
He goes to school with my best friend's kid, Dylan. We lift club and they are SO ADORABLE in the car on the way home. Yesterday, Noah was pointing to the left of the car, and said "Cape Town" and I was like mmm, yes... He pointed to the right and went "This is also Cape Town". Yes. Then he piped up "Noah likes Cape Town!" I had to bite my lip not to cry.
