Oreo's study on modern family lifestyles. Chocolate still not good for dogs.

Oreo has released its very own study. The world’s number one selling biscuit wanted to find out what effect, if any; modern lifestyles are having on South African families.

Now I know all about this, and I am very grateful that I was able to quit my day job and work for myself. I can't tell you what a huge difference its made in our lives that I work from home now, and that I'm able to tackle more chores and activities that my family needs from me. This study is hugely interesting. Some background info:

The study was conducted by Plunge Research to uncover and understand the current family dynamics and roles in South Africa, as well as generational changes.  Combinations of focus groups, professional psychologists, as well as a selection of well-known South African celebrities were interviewed throughout this study in order to get the results

The study revealed that one of the key challenges that affect the South African family is time constraints where families feel they do not have enough quality time to spend with their children. Every parent I know feels this way - and the study gives so much more information, detail and guidelines to improve the time we spend with children. You can read the full study as its available online here: The Oreo Study

Oreo’s new TV commercial showcases a family moment being shared between a child and her father. A dad comes home from work and takes the time to bond with his little girl as she teaches her daddy how to twist, lick and dunk an Oreo.
