I don't know enough about Design and creativity to give a grown up opinion on the Design Indaba Expo 2013, but man... There are a lot of pretty things for you to buy. I went in today to help Graeme with his stand - just so he could have lunch / take a break, none of which he ended up wanting to do, so I did what any normal girl would do under those circumstances. I shopped! I didn't have enough time, and came back to the office with one beautiful skirt, but I am totally going back tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday and we're ALL about Design Indaba right now people.
Graeme's stand is doing so well, and there is more big news. I'm not going to put up pictures, because his stand is actually not finished yet and he hasn't unveiled the new design yet - so will do all of that over the weekend. I am so excited to show like, everyone I know. In the interim, here are a few pretties to look forward to as soon as the expo opens up to the public tomorrow. Look forward to loads of illustrations, clothing, crockery, textiles and jewelry. Please draw money before you go - you can't even get a cup of coffee without cash (some designers have speedpoints) and the queue for the ATM is longer than Nair's bail verdict. Have fun everyone and please come say hi at the Emerging Creatives section - Graeme Bettles Design is at stand number E229. Give him a high five, low five and baby five from me!
Wish I could be there!! Such COOL stuff!
