I'm done, and now I need a name. Will I be the Brew Master? Giveaway

Guys. We (Graeme) bottled our beer this morning. We left it a few extra days so that it's really mature. Not really, I was just too tired to do anything last night. So this morning it all went in to clean, fancy bottles of awesome. Here are some pictures of the mission that was washing and sterilizing.

So everything is done and waiting and erm, brewing? We made a few different kinds of beers and more like ciders. We bottled the original brew, and then we made some with a little bit of honey and some with food coloring... Yes, we really enjoyed doing this and playing around with it.

So right now, while it's sitting for about a week, I need to prep for the judging. I am against nine other bloggers, culinary experts and media folk. All of our beer is going to be sampled at the Blogger Brew Master Judging, after which a winner will be chosen. If I win, I would get the title of Blogger Brew Master 2012, the announcement of winner will take place at the Cape Town Festival of Beer. I'd get my very own beer/blogger stand at next year’s festival, 5 brew packs to continue brewing, complimentary tickets for the Newlands Brewery Tour  AND a day with a brewer. Very cool indeed. So I need to win this, and to win, I'm going to need a name and labels. Also, if I win - all my labels will be produced for me.

Luckily I have a surplus of design and art direction skills in the family, but guys... I need a name. What am I going to call this Raising Men honey mix that is probably going to explode or go sour or something.

Give me some name ideas please? I'm giving away four tickets to this year's Cape Town Festival of Beer taking place at the end of November. You can also get tickets here but please leave me a comment with your name idea, and you can tweet me @Raising_Men with the tag #CTFOB too. I'll pick a winner next week and then you can go get your beer tasting on next month. It's going to be awesome. If you win tickets from me, I will make a mission to give you a bottle of the brew I made, with a label and the name you chose. Maybe I could give it to you at the festival.

Leave your comment with name suggestions, and then obviously: Here are pictures of last year's festival.

  1. Honey and cherry? Sounds delicious! I'd definitely call it Honeypie Ale (if it's an ale, that is).

  6. So your brand should be called "Clark's Lager" featuring "Clark's Honey Flavoured Lager" OR "Clark's Honey Lager" and "Clark's Honey & Cherry Lager"

  9. OK after some more careful consideration and because this is made in the Cape, I think you need to call it ~ Clark's se Brew.

  10. Nota Bene. It means 'Take Note', makes reference to your love of writing, and also uses the first initials of your two boys. xx Laurie

  11. How about "Schreiber's Kirsche-honig brau"?

It is German for "Clerk's cherry-honey beer".
While Clerk isn't quite the same as Clark they are pronounced the same and there is a tenuous link to writing.
