Plans to not have plans and well, dead plants. And books. Um.

This past week has been super busy. On Tuesday I experienced what is known as the 'Birthday Crash' which happens about two days post birthday celebration. When all the sweets and chocolates are eaten, the cake is stale and the helium balloons are on ground level, and no longer dancing along the ceiling. It's a dark, sad place for any post birthday girl to be. 

I'm still playing with and exploring all my wonderful presents I received. The bunnies, Charlie and Lola are just my favorite animals on earth next to Chicken the hamster. Although... We had just spent a lot of pocket money on plants for the garden -daisies, lavender, jasmine creepers... And they have all been snacked on and chewed to the stems. So no pretty garden for us, but have you SEEN how adorable these little creatures are?

I finally got this book that I've been after for years - Jonathan Livingston Seagull. My dad has been telling me to read it for as long as I can remember, but I could never find a copy. Thanks so much Caroline. I cannot wait to tuck in to it. I've heard that it is absolutely life-changing. I share with you the back cover: "For most seagulls, life consists simply of eating and surviving. Flying is just a means of finding food. However, Jonathan Livingston Seagull is no ordinary bird. Against the conventions of seagull society, he seeks to find a higher purpose and become the best at doing what he loves." - Isn't that just wonderful? 

We took the boys to the beach yesterday, and this weekend I have no intention of going anywhere or doing anything of importance. We're just going to hang around at home, try fix the garden, play with the bunnies and I am going to read this book from start to finish. I sure am. I need to write two more articles and I'm going to make a delicious meal from an Italian Cookbook that I got from Granny Annie. Heck, I might even bake a cake. This weekend is going to be all about being un-busy. Sometimes the very best way to be.
