You do not understand how awesome these people are. The toys are all just so... Innocent. You know? Most of it is the stuff we played with as kids. Beautifully crafted wooden things, paper things... Crafts, marble runs, jack-in-the boxes, wagons, puppets. They have little theatres, tee-pee tents, bicycles with those tassels on the side and bells and baskets. Build-it-yourself airplanes, star-charts... Man they have everything.
I love classic things. Timeless things. My kids do NOT own anything Ben Ten, Pokemon etc because they are just not exposed to it. They love Noddy and Tom and Jerry and those things, you know? Charlie and Lola. Good, wholesome kids things. Okay so Tom and Jerry are maybe not always that wholesome, but you get what I'm saying.
I got the most beautiful toys for them today, and things that are just pure GENIUS. I mean, a latch-board? I want to meet the person that came up with that and give them my best curtsy. Sincerely. I left the house an hour ago and I will put money on the fact that the boys are still playing with it. The next step would be to add wooden padlocks and keys (also available via Timeless Toys under the Party-Pack section).
If you do not live in Cape Town, DO NOT WORRY. Obviously they have an online store. Obviously I have already got my next order ready. I am totally getting the wooden "Where Do I Live" memory game AND the "Mix and Match People Box". Sad face from my credit card.
I was getting a bit worried about winter, about the boys being cooped up indoors too much, that they would get super bored. However, these toys are about to stimulate the socks off of them. In a good way. I got them another big little something, but I promised Graeme that I would not let the boys at it until he got home. He so badly wants to see their faces. It's going to be a goodie.
Place your orders at www.timelesstoys.co.za. You're welcome.
