My friend Amy runs this sweet little thing called Lost & Found. She collects beautiful vintage pieces of clothing, and then every couple of months... She takes a few photos and uploads them to a Facebook album. Once they're up, she puts prices to the items, and then you can bid for them. So she'll say "This thing is a size thirty-four and opening price is one hundred rands."
It's really cool. It's fair. Exciting. Interesting.
So bidding closed at nine pm on Wednesday and I *just made the bid on an item I wanted. A really old fashioned wonder-woman GOLD waist belt. My mom will probably recoil in horror like "I am so over this, I had like seven of them at your age" but I love it. Too much.
The other girl and I had a bit of a stand-off about it. She was very persistent and equally in love with the belt. Totally go check out that bid-off on the album.
