So um, OK. Thinking how to start this, and I really am trying to just "be cool about it". Is it really bad that I am over the moon about all of this?
Pampers asked me to be part of their panel of experts in launching a new, (totally great) 5 star skincare campaign. It's been an incredible journey so far, with this awesome brand. They really do know what they're doing over there, we watched this demonstration at the media launch yesterday, on how the nappy works and absorbs -people actually clapped. More on that later. Must. Wait. On. Pictures.
So late last year their nice team filmed me for an infomercial, just getting my take on why skin protection is so important for babies. We've all been there, and I guess any mother could write an essay on the issue. It really is so relevant. Yesterday they flew me to Joburg for the media launch, which was a super nice high tea at Summer Place in Hyde Park. I had a few great conversations with some awesome journalists, from all those magazines that I used to buy when I had my first baby. Surreal! I loved the girl at Your Pregnancy and the Clicks Magazine, and at Mom's Mail. So lovely. Leanne Manas is soooooooo nice and down to earth. Did you know she just opened a fantastic little gifting store in Sandton? I'll talk about that one another day. I am jealous that it wasn't my idea. Sister Lillian is also sooooo chilled and funny!
Then after loads of interviews, video screenings and cake, we were all photographed and then I was interviewed for Good Morning Africa. How cool is that? I will post all the pictures and interviews as I receive them.
Now, Benjamin and I have been asked to appear on Great Expectations on Friday. Well, we're filming on Friday, so back to Joburg I go for another day.
This really just blows my mind. My little blog is growing so much lately, I've received sponsorship (which is totally great) and there are more opportunities on the way. I've also been interviewed for a Rapport magazine, which comes out next month, on a separate topic.
Here are some pictures in the interim. I'll tell you all about everything else later. I'm really just catching my breath right now.
